Jacaranda

This jacaranda tree drew me in instantly. The lavender blooms were only there for a few weeks, so I had to work fast! This painting was done en plein air (from life), and took 3 sessions to complete. This location is near the Old Edna building in San Luis Obispo, California. There is a lovely wine tasting room there if you are ever in the area!
